A sidecar is a vintage cocktail originating in France right after WWI. It is similar to a Margarita as it uses an orange liqueur like triple sec, and lemon juice. The only difference is tequila being used in place of Brandy. In this recipe, we swap the brandy for tequila and used Stirrings Pomegranate Mix to add sweetness.
Ingredients
-
2oz Añejo Tequila (Aged Tequila)
-
2 ounces Stirrings Pomegranate Cocktail Mix
-
1 ounce Cognac
-
Garnish: Orange peel, Cinnamon stick.
Directions
Combine Añejo Tequila, Stirrings Pomegranate Martini Mix, and Cognac in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 15 seconds. Strain into a coupe glass.
To garnish: Wrap a piece of orange peel around a cinnamon stick and place inside the glass.
