WHAT YOU'LL NEED: (SERVES 2)

Ginger Simple Syrup

1/2 cup water

1/2 cup granulated sugar

One 1-inch piece ginger, peeled and sliced

Cocktail

3 oz Vodka

6 oz Stirrings 5 Calorie Cosmopolitan Mixer

2 oz Homemade Ginger Simple Syrup

2 oz Soda Water

Ice

8 oz Soda Water

HOW TO MAKE IT:

 Homemade Ginger Simple Syrup

In a small saucepan, combine ingredients for the ginger simple syrup. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Stir until sugar is dissolved and remove from heat. Cover and steep for 30 minutes. Remove ginger pieces. Cool ginger simple syrup to room temperature before using.

Mocktail/Cocktail

To make the mocktail, feel two copper mugs with ice.

Pour in homemade ginger simple syrup, Stirrings 5 Calorie Cosmopolitan Mixer, and soda water, dividing evenly between the two mugs. If you are making the cocktail version of this drink, you would add the vodka in at this step! 

Stir to combine. Garnish each mug with a lime wheel and enjoy!
