This recipe for Jalapeno infused simple syrup is both sweet and spicy! This no heat will give your simple syrup added heat in no-time. It is the perfect addition to margaritas, and our recipe for a Spicy Paloma!
Directions
Slice desired amount of jalapeno, remember one whole jalapeno is very spicy, we suggest starting with half.
Add jalapeno slices to a bottle of Simple Syrup. If the slices are too big to put in the bottle, gently bend them in half to fit.
Let the mixture infuse for at least 2 hours in the refrigerator before using. The syrup will get spicier the longer you let it sit.
Once it has the desired flavor you are looking for, strain out the jalapeno and return the syrup to the bottle for easy storing. Remember to always store opened bottles of Stirrings in your refrigerator.
Recipe Note
- One jalapeno is very spicy, make sure you adjust according to your preference. Make sure you are wearing gloves when you slice the jalapeno, or avoid touching your face and wash your hands immediately after.
- If you only want Jalapeno flavor, minus the heat, remove the seeds before adding the slices to the simple syrup.
